In addition to strictly implementing safe working and production procedures, DELCO places strong emphasis on enhancing the emergency response capabilities of its staff and workers. Recently, the company organized a training course on first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and stroke response for its personnel, with the aim of improving proactiveness and effectiveness in handling high-risk situations.
Risks at construction sites
Industrial construction environments contain many potential risks that can occur at any time:
- Falls from height during structural installation;
- Falling or slipping materials causing head injuries or bone fractures;
- Electric shock during operations on MEP systems;
- Emergencies such as stroke, cardiac arrest, or loss of consciousness due to high temperatures or intense labor conditions.

With the nature of working in multiple locations and under diverse environmental conditions, the DELCO team must be equipped with essential HSE skills to proactively prevent and handle emergencies. First aid and emergency response training not only helps protect workers’ health and lives, but also maintains a safe and professional working environment.
First aid and emergency response training for hazardous situations
The training session was held at DELCO Farm (Bac Ninh), in collaboration with a team of medical experts, and included:
- Identifying risky situations and assessing accident severity from minor to serious;
- Recognizing symptoms of sudden health problems, cardiac arrest, and stroke;
- Practicing basic first aid skills: stopping bleeding, stabilizing injuries, placing victims in the recovery position, and contacting emergency medical services promptly;
- Practicing CPR techniques and basic stroke response.

This program is part of DELCO’s regular training series, which not only focuses on enhancing professional expertise but also covers topics related to health – safety – environment (HSE). DELCO believes that well-trained personnel contribute significantly to building a safe, efficient, and sustainable working environment at every construction site and project.
