This fall, the DELCO team went on our annual company trip to Dongxing (China) and Tra Co (Vietnam), discovering a region where Vietnam and China meet at the border.
The DELCO team at the Mong Cai International Border Gate
Dongxing, located in Guangxi Province, China, sits right across the border from Mong Cai, Quang Ninh. The city is known for its charming Western-style architecture and rich culinary scene. Just across the border, Tra Co boasts one of northern Vietnam’s most stunning beaches—with its long sandy shoreline, clear blue waters, and laid-back coastal vibe.
By choosing Dongxing and Tra Co for this year’s destination, DELCO hoped to give our team a trip that blended exploration and relaxation, creating memories that will last long after the journey ends.
Along the way, we checked out a number of unique local highlights:
The Western Quarter in Dongxing, with its distinctive European-inspired buildings
Van Vi coastal village, about 20 kilometers from Dongxing city, where we enjoyed fresh sea air and beautiful ocean views.
We also dived into authentic Chinese cuisine, visited scenic spots around the border town, and shopped for local specialties.
*The photos of Dongxing—where old-world charm meets modern life—were all captured by DELCO team members themselves during the trip.
Back in Vietnam, the team posed for a photo at Sa Vi Cape, the northeasternmost point of the country.
We also visited Tra Co Communal House, an ancient piece of Vietnamese architecture that’s rich in cultural significance.
There, we had the chance to chat with the local caretaker, hear stories of the area’s history, and learn more about the unique culture at this far-northeastern edge of Vietnam.
The Dongxing – Tra Co trip wasn’t just about sightseeing and food—it was a much-needed break, a time to recharge, and an opportunity to grow closer as a team. Moments like these are what make our time at DELCO so special.
