The compost production line, directly researched, constructed, and installed by DELCO, introduces a sustainable approach to waste management and the development of green agriculture within a circular economy model.
Circular compost production project at DELCO Farm
The compost system at DELCO Farm utilizes chicken manure from the farm’s livestock operations, recycling it into high-quality, nutrient-rich compost (organic fertilizer) that enhances soil quality and boosts crop yields. This project is fully developed and implemented by DELCO’s team of engineers, who researched the technology and installed the system themselves.
Technology research process
To ensure production efficiency and compost quality, the DELCO team explored various technologies, conducted surveys, and collaborated with multiple manufacturers in Japan, the Netherlands, and other countries. This thorough process led to the selection of a production line and procedures tailored to Vietnam’s farming conditions and climate, particularly the climate in the northern region.
Building on the selected technology and leveraging our expertise in industrial construction and smart factory development, DELCO refined and adjusted the system to suit real-world production needs, optimizing both investment and operational costs.
Integration of smart control
A standout feature of the system at DELCO Farm is its application of automated control technology. The closed-loop production process, from collection and transportation to treatment, is fully automated according to standardized formulas, minimizing human intervention, reducing labor costs, and ensuring safety and precision.
Every step, from collection to treatment, is closely monitored through the smart control system. Key parameters such as temperature, humidity, and microbial activity are tracked using sensor systems to ensure the compost meets consistent quality standards—loose, nutrient-rich, and uniformly processed.

Installation process
The installation of the integrated smart-control compost production line requires high precision, especially when working with large machinery weighing over seventy tons. Every stage—from transportation and installation to operational testing—was conducted systematically and in strict compliance with occupational safety regulations.

Setting up power distribution panels and smart PLC control cabinets.
Accelerating progress by increasing nighttime construction efforts.
Thanks to efficient construction measures, DELCO completed the project on a tight schedule in just twenty days. The system is now fully installed and undergoing trial operations. The first batch of compost is expected to be completed by January 2025.
About DELCO Farm and its journey toward sustainable agriculture
DELCO Farm, a high-tech agricultural farm operational since 2017, currently runs an egg production line housing 90,000 chickens. Each day, the farm generates a significant amount of livestock waste.
Recognizing the environmental challenges and the potential value of this waste, DELCO dedicated years to researching organic fertilizer production technologies, aiming to transform livestock byproducts into a sustainable source of profit.
With its smart composting system, DELCO takes pride in being one of Vietnam’s pioneers in agricultural recycling, advancing sustainable farming practices.
